We had another successful visit to the George Mead Memorial Stables this afternoon. The families loved meeting all the animals and birds, everything from goats, horses, pigs and alpacas to emu's, ducks and chickens.

The children learnt about how the animals habitats and what food they eat, they interacted with them all and each other, truly lovely to see.

The staff were all welcome and patient as usual, its very inclusive there.

One thing we observed from our visit was that after the other visitors fed the animals, many of them would simply drop the empty plastic bags on the floor which is extremely dangerous, if those bags blew into an animal enclosure with crumbs of food or the smell of the food still in them the animals could eat them and become extremely ill or die.

Please take your rubbish to a bin, there were many around the farm. It will teach your children to tidy up after themselves and how to treat their environment with respect.
