Yesterday evenings book launch event Emergent Divergence: The neurodivergent ramblings of David Gray-Hammond book 'A Guide To Autism And Psychosis' at Puzzlebored in Brighton. AIM Director's Owen Liddle, Jenny Payne and Emma Dalmayne went down to Brighton to support our Patron David Gray-Hammond along with our Patron Julie Caro. We were joined by Proffesor Nancy Doyle, and got to meet Rachel Cullen face to face. :) We also met local autistic author Julie Alison Mcdonald who has written a book called Say Hello To Hedgy.
We met Mark who owns Puzzle Bored, Mark is neurodivergent himself and sells jigsaws made by local artists. He does not support the puzzle piece being used as a symbol for autism.
His shop holds workshops including a group run by Mascot for neurodivergent teens. There's also a home ed group that runs there.
It's a beautiful building with a sensory break out room, ear defenders are available. There's tea, coffee and cakes available.
We have some exciting news about a collaboration coming soon between us and Puzzle Bored. 🥳
